Before I share these little know ways to stay positive, I must remind you that I’m publishing this post on January 4th. The day the perfect child was born.
He came out with his hair styled and two thumbs up.
In 35 years the only change is that I used to get a shot of high protein milk for breakfast, and now I shoot 2 ounces of wheatgrass before breakfast. It’s very stimulating, and knock on wood I haven’t been sick in exactly 369 days.
Neither has Jody Lea, and we may not have children passing disease around, but we do have lives. I caught a guy at the gym sneezing on the weight rack while holding a weight.
Now the perfect child doesn’t always grow into the perfect person but luckily I did.
The reasons can be identified through my deepest obsession, ‘personal development.’
I know, I know… everybody IS obsessed with personal development.
That’s good because that means you’ve probably heard things like, “In order to stay positive you must surround yourself with positive people and separate yourself from negative people.”
Excellent, except I’m so positive I make people negative, angry, and confused. If I were to disconnect from all the angry, negative, and confused people in my life. I would be left making jokes by myself 🙂
You don’t have to surround yourself with positive people. YOU have to remember the little known ways to stay positive:
- Enjoy feeling negativity
- Enjoy being angry
- Enjoy sadness
- Enjoy hurt
- Enjoy pain
- Enjoy arguing
- Enjoy success
You’ll probably never see a positive-person-list like this in your life, but what makes a person positive is knowing that every bad situation will make you a better person. You can enjoy all the above ways to stay positive as long as you are able to:
The list looks easy but ‘accepting’ can be a four and-a-half step program that involves anger, blame, and feelings of guilt and shame. Forgiving all those feelings could take some people another six months, and then you have to forget? I don’t think so.
I do think so… and then you must take the hardest step of them all… educate. Now I’m willing to bet that somebody has overcome every problem that you can seek knowledge on. Once you find out how they did it you have the curse of knowledge, that means you know it forever and you have to stop making excuses.
If the answers you find don’t suit your needs then they will help you get started on your own cure. That’s what I would call ‘product creation.’
Here is what I think about negative thinking: [easy-tweet tweet=”the more negative thoughts you battle, the happier you’ll be to find a positive one.”]
In conclusion to the little knows ways to stay positive:
You must enjoy feeling… sometimes those feelings are negative but like my dad says, “At least you’re feeling something.” And everybody knows you can always change a bad feeling into something good 🙂
